ANCILLARY SERVICES (ADJUNCT OR AUXILIARY SERVICES)   A PATIENT IS REFERRED BY HIS/HER PHYSICIAN FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTS OR TREATMENT OT INCLUDE: LAB(GTT); RADIOLOGY (BARIUM ENEMA); OR THERAPEUTIC SERVICES (PHYSICAL THERAPY, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, CHEMOTHERAPY). 辅助  
AMBULATORY SURGERY FACILITIES   SURGERY FACILITIES, SURGICAL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY PROFESSIONAL STAFF TO PATIENTS WHO DO NOT REQUIRE AN INPATIENT BED. THE FACILITIES MAY BE LOCATED AT THE HOSPITAL OR IN A SATELLITE FACILITY.  
RESPITE CARE   A SHORT INTERVAL OF REST OR RELIEF. PROVIDES RELIEF TO A CAREGIVER BY PROVIDING CARE TO THE PERSON BEING CARED FOR. A PERSON CARING FOR AN SICKPERSON AT HOME MAY REQUIRED CARE DURING THE INTERVAL OF TIME WHEN THEY WILL BE AWAY FOR A WEDDING.  
HOSPICE CARE   IS FOR THE TERMINALLY ILL AND THEIR FAMILIES. MANY HOSPITALS PROVIDE OUTPATIENT HOSPICE CARE, AND SOME ALSO MAINTAIN AN INPATIENT HOSPICE UNIT, SHOULD INPATIENT CARE BE REQUIRED  
SWING BEDS   ARE HOSPITAL BEDS (FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN) THAT MAY BE USED FLEXIBLY TO SERVE AS EITHER ACUTE OR LONG-TERM CARE BEDS. SWING BEDS ARE MOST COMMON IN RURAL 农村HOSPITALS WITH BESS THAN FIFTY BEDS OR STAFFED AND OPERATING WITH FORTY NINE OR FEWER BEDS.  
EXPANDED MEDICAL CARE/STAFF/SERVICE UNITS   A MAJOR TEACHING HOSPITAL OR OTHER LARGE CITY HOSPITAL MAY HAVE A LARGE NUMBER OF MEDICAL CARE/STAFF/SERVICE UNIT CLASSIFICATION  
DISEASE INDEX   A LISTING OF PATIENTS DISCHARGED WITH A SPECIFIC DIAGNOSIS CODE  
PROCEDURE/OPERATION INDEX   A LISTING OF ALL PATIENTS WITH THE SAME PROCEDURE CODE  
PHYSICIAN'S INDEX   A LISTING IN THE PHYSICIAN'S INDEX. THE PATIENT'S NAME AND HOSPITAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER ARE RECORDED.  
REGISTER   A CHRONOLOGICAL LIST OF DATA IN A HEALTH CARE FACILITY. REGISTERS SERVE AS A REFERENCE FOR A DEPARTMENT  
REGISTRY   CONTAINS ABSTRACTS THAT ARE THEN SHARED TO FORM A LARGER DATABASE. THE AMOUNT OF INFORMATION GENERALLY EXCEEDS THAT FOUND IN A REGISTER OR INDEX.  
INCIDENT REPORTS   MEDICATION ERRORS AND FALLS ARE EXAMPLES OF POTENTIAL PROBLEMS. RISKS OR INCIDENTS ARE INVESTIGATED AND IDENTIFIED THROUGH COMPLETION OF AN INCIDENT REPORT. DATA CAN BE COLLECTED FORM THESE REPORTS TO IDENTIFY TRENDS AND TAKE NECESSARY CORRECTIVE ACTION
