Hero of the Odyssey who takes 10 years to return to his home on Ithica after the 10 years of fighting in the Trojan War, he is considered one of the wisest of the Greek warriors and supposedly devised the Trojan horse strategy.   Odyssius   On his 10 year trip home, encountered the Lotus eaters, Polyphemus, Circe, Calypso, the Sirens, Scylla, and Charybdis   Odyssius   As a child, goes to the Oracle at Delphi and is told he will kill his father and marry his mother not knowing his parents in Corinth are his step-parents. Along the way he unknowingly meets Laius, his real father and kills him.   Oedipus

After killing his father, he goes to Thebes and saves the city from the sphinx by answering its riddle. They crown him king and he marries his mother. 20 years later they learn the truth. She commits suicide and he blinds himself.   Oedipus   Gets upset with his mother when she and her lover kill his father so he kills his mother, which is a crime against the Gods. He is stalked by the Furies but purified by Minerva   Orestes   Friend of Achilles and second in command of the Myrmidons, when Achilles withdraws from the fighting against the Trojans, he and the rest of the Myrmidons withdraw as well.   Patroclus
