Associative   grouping using minimum of 3 terms for + or x  
Distributive   multiply the term DIRECTLY outside  
Reciprocal   any term times its reciprocal is 1  
Identity of addition   any number plus 0+itself  
Identity of multiplication   any # times 1=itself  
Opposite   any term plus its opposite is 0  
addition   if the signs are the same add and give the awnser in the same sign. if the terms are different subtract and give the awnser of the larger#  
subtraction   add the opposite of the 2nd term  
multiplication/division   both terms have same sign = posotive if terms have different signs = negative  
Absolute value   the distance between a # and 0  
variable   is used to represent an unknown #  
opposite   if the # is possotive than the negative version of it and if the # is negative then the posotive version of it. Ex -1=1 2=-2  
solution   the awnser  
equation   a mathmatical problem  
absolute value   how far away from 0 the # is  
Reciprocal   the opposite of a # for example 2/1=1/2
