Tropic of Cancer | located at 0 degrees latitude above the equator. It is when the sun is directly over head at noon.

Tropic of Capricorn | located at 23degrees30's. Marks the Southernmost where this occurs.

Artic Circle | marks the northernmost point where the sun can be seen in the winter.

Antartic Circle | marks the southernmost point in which the sun can be seen in the winter.

solstice | Happens every year on december 21 and is when the sun never sets south of the Antiartic Circle.
