| Homozygous | Organisms that have two identical alleles for a certain trait (TT or tt)

| Heterozygous | Organisms that have two different alleles for a certain trait (Tt)

| Phenotype | A physical characteristic that can be observed in an animal or plant.

| Genotype | The genetic makeup that cause the physical traits of a plant or animal

| Phenotypic ratio | The ratio or percent of offspring that will have a specific phenotype as determined by the genotypes of the parents.
