Respiration   The process in which oxygen and glucose undergo a complex series of chemical reactions inside cells, also called cellular respiration.

Trachea   The wind pipe. A passage through which air moves in the respiratory system.

Bronchi   The passage that directs air into the lungs.

Lungs   An organ found in air breathing vertibrates.

Aveoli   tiny sacs of lung tissue specializes for the movement of gasses between air and blood.

Diaphram   a large muscle located at he bottom of a mammals ribcage that functions in breathing.

Larynx   the voicebox laocated in teh top part of teh trachea underneath the epiglottis.

Vocal Chords   Folds of connective tissue that stretch across teh opening of the larynx and produce a person's voice.
