| Etiologies of ARF, Pre-renal | Most common cause of ARF,any condition that decreases perfusion before blood reaches the kidneys such as shock.Fluid can also be lost if pooling in confined spaces aka Third Spacing.Causes(Hemorrhage,Sespsis,Stenosis)

| Rhabdomyolysis | Disintegration of the muscle when injured,can break down and release myoglobin into bloodstream which has a devastaing effect on the kidney and may cause renal failure.

| Most common cause of death in ARF | Hyperkalemia

| Signs of Hyperkalemia | Peaking T wave and shortening of QT interval and ST depression. As Serum rises changes may be followed by bundle branch block,flat p waves and increse PR interval.

| Peritoneal Dialysis (Most common Type) | Silicone rubber catheter inserted into peritoneal cavity in abd wall. Dialysate fluid is ciculated and waste and fluids diffuse across peritoneum which acts as a filter.
