What are compatible numbers?   Compatible numbers are numbers that are easy to divide mentally.

What is a formula?   A formula is an equation that shows a relationship between quantities that are represented by variables.

What is the mean?   The mean is the sum of the data values divided by the number of data values.

What are measures of central tendency?   Mean, median, and mode are measures of central tendency of a collection of data.

What is the median?   The median is the middle number when data values are written in order and there is an odd number of data values. For an even number of data values, the median is the mean of the two middle numbers.

What is the mode?   The mode is the data item that occurs most often. There can be one mode, more than one mode, or no mode.

What is an outlier?   An outlier is a data value that is much greater or less than the other data values.

What is a perimeter?   The perimeter of a figure is the distance around the figure. The formula is P = 2l + 2w.
