Equation   a statement that the values of two mathematical expressions are equal/the same as indicated by the = sign.

Expression   is a mathematical phrase that can contain ordinary numbers, variables (like x or y) and operators (like add,subtract,multiply, and divide). It is different from an equation because it does not have an equal sign in the middle.

Inequality   a statement that the values of two mathematical expressions are related by either one being "less than"(<) or "greater than"(>) the other.

compounded annually   interest rate is applied to the original principal and any accumulated interest yearly.
