Definition
Average - Mean   Dividing the sum of a group of figures by the total number of figures.

Like Terms   Variables, coefficients and figures that have the same base. For example 3x and 4x have the same base, so they are like terms.

Integers   Zero and any positive or negative number that does not include a fraction or decimal.

Number Line   A line in which points all correspond to numbers.

Squared numbers   A figure that is multiplied by itself. For example, 2 squared is equal to 2 times 2 or 4. 4 squared is 4 times 4, that equals 16.

Median   A number that separates the higher half of a sample from the lower half. 1/2 of the population will have values less than or equal to the median and 1/2 of the population will have values equal to or greater than the median.
