Greatest Common Factor   The largest factor shared by two or more numbers.

Least Common Multiple   The smallest product shared by two or more numbers.

Venn Diagram   A diagram that uses circles to describe a relationship between two or more sets.

Exponent   This tells you the number of times the base is used as a factor.

Evaluate   Solve.

Reciprocal   When you invert or "flip" a fraction. Example 1/4 and 4/1

Ratio   A comparison of two quantities using the word "to", the fraction bar, or the colon.

Unit Rate   The rate for 1 unit of a given quantity.

Proportion   An equation showing that two ratios are equal.

Inverse Operations   Opposite operations that "undo" each other.

Coordinate Plane   A grid consisting of an x-axis and y-axis used to plot points.

Origin   The point of intersection of the x-axis and y-axis. The ordered pair for it is (0,0)

Ordered Pair   (x-coordinate, y-coordinate) It identifies the location of a point on the coordinate plane.

Quadrants   The four regions that the coordinate plane is divided into by the x-axis and y-axis.

x-axis   The horizontal line of the coordinate plane.

y-axis   The vertical line of the coordinate plane.
