Francis Ferdinand   Archduke of Austria whose assassination in Sarajevo intensified Austro-Serbian conflict and set in motion the events that started World War I

William II   A new emperor as of 1888 who wanted to run the country as opposed to Otto van Bismarck. He would oversee the rise of Germany into one of the most powerful nations in the world.

Western Front   In WWI, the region of Northern France where the forces of the Allies and the Central Powers battled each other in trench warfare.

Casualty   A soldier that was killed, wounded and or missing.
