Squatter settlements

Quiz yourself by thinking what should be in each of the black spaces below before clicking on it to display the answer.
        Help!

Squatter settlements are built illegally in and around the city, by people who can't afford proper housing.
🗑
The settlements are badly built and overcrowded. They often don't have basic services like electricity or sewers.
🗑
they have n access to basic services like clean running water, proper sewers or electricity. They also lack policing, medical services and fire fighting. This means life expectancy is often lower than in the main city.
🗑
In order to improve their living space, everyone gets together to help build peoples houses or damaged parts and work as a team to improve it.
🗑
the government and local people help to improve the settlements. They supply building materials for them to use, and money saved on labour can be used to provide basic services like electricity and sewers.
