Quiz yourself by thinking what should be in each of the black spaces below before clicking on it to display the answer.

Term
Definition
direct variation   mathematical relationship between two variables that can be expressed by an equation in which one variable is equal to a constant times the other
🗑
linear equation   an equation between two variables that gives a straight line when plotted on a graph.
🗑
point-slope form   Point slope form is also called as point - gradient form. Point Slope Form is used to generate the Equation of a straight line passing through a given point with a slope.
🗑
slope-intercept form   A linear equation is an algebraic equation in which each term is either a constant or the product of a constant and a single variable.
🗑
rate of change   The ratio of the change in the output value and change in the input value of a function
🗑
slope   a measure of the steepness of a line on a graph; the rise divided by the run
🗑
x-intercept   the x-coordinate of the point where the graph of a lime crosses the x-axis
🗑
y-intercept   the y-coordinate of the point where the graph of a line crosses the y-axis
🗑
unit rate   a rate in which the second quantity in the comparison is one unit.
🗑
proportional relationship   a relationship between inputs to outputs in which the ratio of inputs and outputs is always the same.
🗑
intersecting lines   lines that cross at exactly one point
🗑
constant of proportionality   a constant ratio of two variables related proportionally.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.

To hide a column, click on the column name.

To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.

You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.

Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
