Term   A number, a variable, or a product of numbers and variables.

Variable   A symbol, typically a lower case letter, that is used to represent an unspecified number.

Algebriac Expression   An expression consisting of one or more numbers and variables along with one or more arithmetic operations.

Equation   A mathematical sentence that compares two expressions linked by an equals sign (=).

Inequality   A mathematical sentence comparing two expressions that are linked by one of the following: <, <, >, or >.

Real Numbers   The set of rational numbers and irrational numbers together form the set of real numbers.

Natural Numbers   The set of counting numbers expressed as {1,2,3,...}.
