Question
Answer
What is Dimensional Analysis?   DA is a method for converting units (unit conversion).
🗑
Name a critical part of describing measurement?   Units.
🗑
Why use dimensional analysis?   Before working with units mathematically, you frequently must convert from one unit to another.
🗑
How does using dimensional analysis help?   It helps you make sure you get your multiplications and divisions straight.
🗑
What are the first 3 steps of the DA method?   1.Write the term to be converted (both number and unit) as a fraction; 2.Make the fraction of the conversion formula (numerator to denominator and vise versa); 3. Use as many conversion formulas as needed until you get the desired results.
🗑
What are the last 5 steps of the DA method?   1.Cancel units (make sure you end up with the desired units); 2.Multiply everything on top; 3.Multiply everything on bottom; 4.Divide the top by the bottom; 5. Round to the correct number of significant digits.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.

To hide a column, click on the column name.

To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.

You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.

Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
