Term
Definition
Altitude of a Triangle   The perpendicular distance between a vertex of a triangle and the side opposite that vertex. Sometimes called the height of a triangle. Also, sometimes the line segment itself is referred to as this.
🗑
Base (of a Polygon)   It can be any side for two-dimensional figures. Typically, however, it is the bottom side, on which the polygon "sits".
🗑
Cubed Root   One of three identical factors of a number that is the product of those factors.
🗑
Diameter   The distance across a circle through its center. The line segment that includes the center and whose endpoints lie on the circle.
🗑
Hypotenuse   It is the side of a right triangle that is directly across from the right angle. This is also the longest side of any right triangle.
🗑
Leg of a Triangle   Either of the two shorter sides of a right triangle. These two sides together form the right angle in the right triangle.
🗑
Perfect Cubes   In arithmetic and algebra, the cube of a number n is its third power. It is the result of the number multiplying by itself three times.
🗑
Pythagorean Theorem   A theorem that states that in a right triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse equals the sum of the squares of the lengths of the legs. a^2 + b^2 = c^2
🗑
Pythagorean Triples   A set of positive integers, a, b, and c that fit the rule a^2 + b^2 = c^2.
🗑
Radius   The distance from the center of a circle to any point on the circle. Also, the line segment that has the center of the circle as one endpoint and a point on the circle as the other endpoint.
🗑
Right Triangle   A triangle with exactly one right angle.
🗑
Volume   The amount of space occupied by an object.
🗑
Domain   It is the set of all x-coordinates of the ordered pairs of a relation or the "input" of the relation.
🗑
Function   A rule of two sets of numbers in which an input value from the first set has only one unique output value in the second set. In other words, a relation where each input has a unique output.
🗑
Range   The set of all output values or the y-values of a relation.
🗑

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.

To hide a column, click on the column name.

To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.

You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.

Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
