What is mass tourism?   Lots of people staying in the same city and/or country at the same time.

What is Eco tourism?   Tourism which benefits not just the environment but also the indigenous people and their economy in a sustainable manner.

What does sustainable mean?   Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations.

Benefits of tourism?   More jobs, shops, schools, hospitals, tourist amenities for locals to use and the multiplier effect.

Costs of tourism?   -Environmental damage -Culture clashes between locals and tourists -Pollution -Noise pollution

What is the multiplier effect?   To house tourists new hotels must be set up and thus will create jobs because the hotels need to be run and for supplies. The gov. will have money for school and hospitals etc. It will go on and on with more tourists.
