Solving systems of linear equations by graphing and substitution.

Quiz yourself by thinking what should be in each of the black spaces below before clicking on it to display the answer.
        Help!

Question
Answer
Is (4,1) a solution for: x + y = 5 x + 4y = 8   Yes
🗑
How do you find a solution to a system of linear equations by graphing?   Graph the two equations and find the point where they intersect.
🗑
If you simplify 5(x + 1) + 6x - 3, what does it come out to be?   11x - 2
🗑
Are x = 1 and y = 1 parallel or intersecting lines?   Intersecting.
🗑
To solve by substitution, what is the first step you must take?   Find x or y for one of the equations.
🗑
If x is a single real number, what can you know about what the graph will look like?   It will be a single vertical line crossing the real number on the x-axis.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.

To hide a column, click on the column name.

To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.

You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.

Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
