Add   Bringing two or more numbers together to make a new total.

Multiples of 10   A multiple a number is the product of that number and any other whole number. For ten, the multiples are: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 , 90, and 100.

Compose   To combine numbers; to put them together.

Place Value   The value of where the digit is in the number, such as ones, tens, hundreds, etc. For example, with the number 10, 1 is in the tens place and 0 is in the ones place.

Subtract   To take away, to find the difference of a number.

One-digit number   A number with only one digit (no number in the tens place): 0,1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Two-digit number   A number that includes a number in both the tens place and the ones place. Includes numbers ten or higher.

Addition   To find the sum of a number; to add two numbers together.

Subtraction   Taking one number away from another.

Mental Math   Figuring out the answer to a problem in your head without having to use paper or pencil to figure out the answer.
