roots   The roots are medieval because the Renaissance grew from medieval time period. Their art especially developed from medieval art but it adapted just like the people did

stem   The stem is classical because Renaissance used similar ideas like the classical art. The Renaissance then grew off classical but it changed as well in a unique way that made in the Renaissance

seeds   The seeds are growth of city-states because the city-states grew large so they got more money if it was wealthy. The growth of city-states is one of the reasons people felt they needed a change in their daily lives

water   Travel and commerce are the water because it made the towns wealthier so they had more money for art and questionings. Travel and commerce starting adapting in ways such as coins instead of bartering.
