Question
Location of the Heart ?   The Heart is situated within the MEDIASTINUM, a mass of Tissue, which is located inside the Thoracic Cavity, between the Lungs.  
Shape of the Heart ?   The Heart is a hollow, cone - shaped Muscular Organ, it hangs upside down, Base at the top, Apex at the bottom.  
Heart size ?   In an average adult it is the size of the owners clenched fist. But generally the bigger you are the your Heart.  
Cardiac Axis ?   Is the 60' degree angle that the Heart points down, Generaly points to the Left Nipple.  
The Heart is ?   A Double sided Double action PUMP.  
How many layers does the Heart have ?   3  
Name the 3 Layers of the Heart ?   Pericardium (outer layer), Myocardium (middle layer) & Endocardium (inner layer, very smooth, in all the blood vessels)  
Right side of the Heart deals with ?   De-Oxygenated blood, fed by the Vena Cava  
Left side of the Heart deals with ?   Oxygenated Blood.  
How many Layers to the Pericardium ?   2 Visceral - Inner / Parietal - Outer with Serous Fluid inbetween.  
Pericarditus ?   The Pericardium is a potential space, if punctured Serous fluid can drain out, causing irritation, pain & Infection.  
Pericardium ?   A double layered sac containing the Heart, the origins of the superior & inferior Vena Cavae & the Pulmonary Artery.  
Pericardium, the 2 layers are ?   Epicardium / Inner Visceral layer 7 the Pericardium / outer parietal layer.
