        Help!

Question
Answer
What is the most important characteristic of a good Research Question?   It is testable. It can be answered by an experiment.
🗑
A good Hypothesis has what three parts?   Conditions, Prediction, & Assumptions.
🗑
The "IF" part of an hypothesis is ...   ...the conditions.
🗑
The "then" part of an hypothesis is the...   ...prediction.
🗑
The "because" part of an hypothesis is the...   ...assumption.
🗑
What variable in a scientific experiment is what is being tested? ...the thing that changes in different trials of the experiment?   Independent Variable.
🗑
What variable in a scientific experiment is the result? ...the thing you measure at the end?   Dependent Variable.
🗑
Charts & graphs are used in which part of the Scientific Inquiry process?   Experiment - Recording & Analysing the results.
🗑
What does "Control" mean?   The part or trial of the experiment that is untreated or in its natural condition.
🗑
What does "Control of Variables" mean?   All the other variable or changeable parts of an experiment, other than the Independent Variable, must be kept exactly the same in each trial (controlled) in order the the experiment to be fair and accurate.
🗑
What are some important characteristics of the Independent Variable?   Observable, Measureable.
🗑
Random?   By chance.
🗑
Multiple trials?   Carrying out the experiment many times.
🗑
Accurate?   As close to the true value as possible.
🗑
Precise?   How close the results of multiple trials of the exact same experiment are to each other.
🗑
What are four steps in the Scientific Inquiry process?   1. Observation & Research Question, 2. Hypothesis, 3. Experiment - designing, doing, recording & analysing results, 4. Conclusion - reaching & defending.
