Jerusalem An ancient city in western Asia; capital of present-day Israel.
Judaism The religion of the Jewish people.
monotheism A belief in one God.
Moses Prophet who led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt.
Sabbath A weekly day of rest, prayer, and study.
Ten Commandments According to the Hebrew Bible, the laws God gave to Moses on Mount Sinai.
Torah The first five books of the Hebrew Bible containing the laws and teachings of Judaism.
