Rock Cycle Repeated series of events by which rock gradually and continually changes between igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic forms

Igneous Rock Rock formed by the cooling and hardening of magma
Sedimentary Rock Rock formed by the compaction and cementing of layers of sediments
Metamorphic Rock Rock that has undergone chemical or physical change by pressure, heat, and moisture
Sediments Solid particles such as weathered rock fragments, plant and or sehll remains, or minerals that settle out of solution on the bottom of lakes or oceans
