ARC music vocabulary for music test 1.

QuestionAnswer
Melody a series if notes arranged in order to form a recognizable unit.
Pitch the relative position, high or low, of a musical sound.
Dynamics shows how loud of soft a portion of music is to be played.
Rhythm the organization of time and music.
Beat the even pulse that divides the passing of musical time into even segments.
Tempo the speed at which a piece of music is to be played.
Form the arrangement of sections of a piece of music.
Register the specific area in range of an instrument or voice(high, medium, low)
Instrument a mechanism that creates musical vibrations and sends them into the air.
Timbre "tone color"; the quality or sound that makes each instrument or voice unique.
