Diminished or absent pulses, Limb pale when elevated and reddened when dependent, Skin shiny, dry, cool, Nails thickened, Leg Ulcers. Arterial Insufficiency
Thrombophlebitis may either precede or occur with this. Digits can be pale, cool to touch and thickened, ulceration around nail beds can lead to gangrene and then amputation. BUERGERS DISEASE
Lower leg edema, itching or dull ache in leg, discoloration of skin, possible weeping dermatitis, hardness of SUBQ tissue, stasis ulcers over ankles. DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS
Severe aching pain in leg, Leg fatigue or heaviness, itching of leg (stasis dermatitis), warm feeling in the leg, visibly dilated veins, thin discolored skin above the ankle, possible stasis ulcers. VARICOSE VEINS
Non pitting edema, roughened skin without ulceration, marked limb enlargement, swelling in one or both extremities, increased heaviness and a hardening of SQ tissue, symptoms worsen in warm weather and with prolonged standing. PRIMARY LYMPHEDEMA
R/T filariasis - intermittent high fever with chills, mailaise, fatigue, tender regional lympadenopathy, severe muscle pain, areas of erythema with increased edema, Lymphangitis and Cellulitis SECONDARY LYMPHEDEMA
Purpura, Ecchymosis, Petechiae on anterior thorax, arms and neck Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura ITP
Symptoms for 3 months - Infection, Fever, Anemia, Hypoxia r/t altitude, plane travel, increased respiratory insufficiency, PAIN, Increased mortality for 1st 5 years, Dactylitis "hand foot syndrome". Sickle Cell Anemia
Severe episodes of fever, intense pain, ab pain, chest, back, joints, micro infarcts, seizure, Ischemic stroke, MI, kidney or lung damage Sickle Cell Crisis
Temperature increase of > 2degrees, chills, Hypotension, SEVERE LOW BACK PAIN, Low or absent urin output, N/V, Dyspnea, Wheezing, Anxiety -sense of impending doom, Diaphoresis. BLOOD TRANSFUSION REACTION
