Beskriv epitelskiktet i näsan. Superior till nostril är hudbaserad med mycket hårfolliklar och körtlar. Hela kaviteten består av olfactory mucosa och respitory mucosa (psuedostratifierad cilierad columnar epitelceller, gobletceller lamina propria innehåller mucous och serous körtlar.
Vad utsöndrar cellerna i respiratory mucosa? Mucous utsöndar mucus. Serous körtel utsöndar vatten, enzym (defensin, lysozymer) vätska.
Vad gör cillierna? De vispar från lung och näskaviteten till svalget och sen går sväljer man eller hostar upp slemmet.
Sneeze reflex is initiated by? Sensory nerve endings in the mucosa reacts and initiate reflex.
What intensifies the airheating process? Kapillärbädden under epitellagret med motströmsprincipen värmen luften som kommer in.
Vad är conchas funktion? Skapar turbulens, ökar epitellets yta (värme och fuktning både vid ut och inandning). Barriär för stora partiklar (4micrometer).
Vad är bihålornas (paranasalens) funktion? Resonans, (hjälper till med fuktningen - luft strömmar förbi så snabbt så ej troligt), bildar NO.
