Compazine MECHANISM OF ACTION Alters the affects of dopamine in the CNS. Possesses significant anticholinergic and alpha-adrenergic blocking activity.
Compazine INDICATIONS N/V, psychoses, and anxiety.
Compazine CONTRAINDICATIONS Narrow-angle glaucoma, liver or cardiovascular disease, children < 2 years.
Compazine ADVERSE REACTIONS Sedation, blurred vision, ECG changes, hypotension, tachycardia
Compazine INCOMPATABILITIES/DRUG INTERACTIONS Additive hypotension with antihypertensives, nitrates, or acute ingestion of alcohol.

Verapamil MECHANISM OF ACTION Calcium channel blocker. Prolongs av nodal refractory period, dilates coronary arteries, and arterioles.
Verapamil INDICATIONS PSVT, PAT, A-fib and A-flutter with RVR
Verapamil CONTRAINDICATIONS 2nd or 3rd degree AV block, S.S.S., hypotension, CHF, pulmonary edema, wide complex tachycardia, <12 months of age.
Verapamil ADVERSE REACTIONS Hypotension, AV block, Bradycardia, Asystole, dizziness, HA, N/V, peripheral edema.
Verapamil INCOMPATABILITIES/DRUG INTERACTIONS Increases serum concentration of digoxin. Antihypertensives may potentiate Hypotensive effects.
Verapamil DOSE/ROUTE Adult 2.5-5mg IV bolus over 2 minutes. Repeat doses of 5-10mg may be given every 15-30 minutes to a maximum of 20mg.
Verapamil DOSE/ROUTE Pediatric 0.1-0.2 mg/kg/dose IV, IO push over 2 minutes. Repeat dose in 30 minutes if not effective. Don’t use in children <12 months

Atrovent MECHANISM OF ACTION Anticholinergic (Parasympatholytic) agent appears to inhibit vagally-mediated reflexes by antagonizing the action of acetylcholine.
Atrovent INDICATIONS bronchospasm assoc. with COPD. To be used either alone or in combination with albuterol.
Atrovent CONTRAINDICATIONS hypersensitivity to Atrovent or to atropine and its derivatives. used with caution in narrow angle glaucoma.
