Abraham Founder of Judeasim and led by his faily from Ur to Cannan (according to the bible)
Hammurabi Babylon's king. Wrote the Code of Hammurabi and believed everyone should not have equal power.
City-state A self-governing city, often with surrounding lands and villages.
Ancient Sumer The first empire in Mesopotamia.
Fertile Crescent an area in the Middle and Near East: formerly fertile, now partly desert.
