When Qi doesn't move it stagnates; blood needs qi to move it otherwise it would become stasis def qi leads to def blood which eventually leads to def yin; to correct--tonify
Lv qi stagnation ->Blood stasis -> heat -> bleeding. Blood stasis ->Yang def -> Qi def.
Qi cannot movement is obstructed in Phlegm-damp, foot retention, blood stasis results in pain and local distention Lv qi stagnation -> injures Sp qi -> lack of blood production -> blood stasis
Def Ht qi = palpitations; def lu qi + SOB; def sp qi = poor appetite, def ki qi = excess urination. weak qi you tend to sweat more causing loss of more qi.
qi stagnation affects jin-ye creating damp and phlegm LU obstruction becomes chest stuffiness and phlegm accumulates. Lv qi stagnation results in hypochondriac pain and dysmenorrhea. Sighing is natural with stagnation.
Counterflow: Lu = coughing, hiccups asthma, St nausea, vomiting, belching, Lv hemoptysis, heat signs in face sinking qi: organ prolapse
block: qi move,emt blocked leading to cold limbs and disturbances of the mind disertion: qi escaping the body; hemorrhage, sweating
Lv blood def = eye problems, weak eyes, dry eyes, itchy eyes, tendon movement problems. weak sp either from inability to recieve nutrition or from chronic illness =
blood hat shows first on skin as excema/psoriasis, acupuncture not used much but works well with acne qi/blood def = lusterless complexion, dislike to take, lethargy, emaciation, dry skin, numbness, palpitations, insomnia
"when blood is def the shen can become uneasy showing signing of anxiety, inability to fall asleep and irritability.
