how does the relfex arc work? input from receptor-->travels along the motor neurone-->action potential moves from the motor neurone to the intermediate neurone--> action potential moves from intermediate neurone to the sensory neurone--> output to effector
what is the action potential? a fleeting reversal of the resting potential across the plamsa membrane of a neurone, which rapidly travels along its length
what is the axon? a long cytoplasmic process of a neurone, that conducts action potentials away from the cell bodies.
