numerical measurement of a value, such as volume, length, acceleration, number of widgets produced per hour, etc. quantitative observation
quality or judgement based on individual observations using the five senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch qualitative observation
the ammount of matter in an object mass
measurement of force of gravity pulling down on the mass of an object weight
