What is the D-Day Invasion? On June 6, 1944, the Allies invaded France at Omaha Beach, France. The Americans, British, Canada, and US liberated France.
When did the war in Europe finally end? May 1945 invaded Berlin, Germany, 1945,and captured it. Hitler committed suicide. USSR overruns Eastern Europe.
What was the Holocaust? It was the killing of Jews and other "undesirable" persons by the Germans starting in the later 1930's until 1945. It was started by Hitler so he could create a master race.
What were the results of World War2? 55 million killed, Europe and Asia in ruins; the powers of Western Europe devastated; colonial peoples freed; creation of the United Nations; US and USSR emerged as superpowers
