Abdominal Injuries

QuestionAnswer
A ruptured spleen may present with what symptom? Left upper quadrant pain and left shoulder pain.
Liver laceration may present with what symptoms? Right upper quadrant tenderness and guarding and signs of blood loss and shock.
Bowel perforation may present with what symptoms? Abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.
If internal bleeding is suspected what would the School Nurse do? Bend knees and hips and place pillow or folded blanket under knees to support position. Call 911.
