Pulse Rate Number of beats per minute
Pulse Volume or Amplitude Strength or intensity of beats (Normal, weak/thready, full/bounding)
Pulse Rhythm Pattern of beats and pauses between them.
Normal Pulse Range for Adult 60 to 90 beats per minute
Bradycardia heart rate less than 60 beats per minute
Tachycardia heart rate over 100 beats per minute
Radial Pulse Pulse located on wrist (thumb side)
Apical Pulse Pulse heard with stethoscope at apex of heart
Brachial Pulse Pulse located inside elbow on little finger side
Femoral Pulse Pulse located in groin at top of leg
Popliteal Pulse Pulse located behind knee
Pedal Pulse Pulse located on top of foot
Carotid Pulse Pulse located in neck by voice box
