Causes of Acute Ab pain

The causes of an acute ab pain are varied.

Pain, ab tenderness, constipation & diarrhea.

CBC, urinalysis, ab-X-Ray, & ECG. Pregnancy tests if childbearing age.

Initial Interventions:

Ensure pt airway, administer oxygen, IV with N/S, order lab work/urinalysis/C&S, insert indwelling catherter, insert NG tube, keep client NPO and assess bowel sounds.
