What is a mountain? The highest kind of land.
What is a valley? Low land between hills or mountains.
what is an Ocean? a very large body of salt water.
What is a Lake? a body of water with land all around it.
What is a river? a long body of water that flows across the land.
What is a peninsula? land that has water on three sides.
What is a plain? a very flat piece of land.
What is a capital? a place where the leaders of a state work; on a ma, the capital is usually shown with a big star.
What is a compass rose? part of a map that shows north, south, east, west.
what is the name of the continent we live on? North America.
What is the name of our country? The United States.
What is the name of the state we live in? New York.
What is the name of the country that is to the north of the U.S. Canada.
What are Natural resources? Things that come from nature.
