Bodies of water

Salt Water An Ocean or Sea that contains a large amount of salt.
Fresh Water Inland water,such as rivers, lakes, or glaciers, that is not salty.
Glacier Extended mass of ice formed from snow fall.
River A natural stream of water of fairly large size flowing in a definite course.
Lake A body of fresh or salt water of considerable size, surrounded by land.
Aquifer Fresh underground water.
Waves Ondulations that moves across the surface of the sea: created by the wind.
Tide The periodic rise and fall of the waters of the ocean, produced by the attraction of the moon and sun (nearly every six hours)
Low tide The time when the water of the ocean goes out.
High tide The time when the water of the ocean comes in closer to land.
Marine currents A continuous flow of water along the ocean as it was a river (inside the ocean). There are two types: cold and warm.
Groundwater The water that filters trough the soil and enters underground.
Aquifer The water that accumulates as an underground lake.
Hydraulic engineering Constructions that bring water where necessary (reservoirs, canals, etc)
