Distal Plane? ? Find Out B 4 your test :)!!
Transverse? Horizontal across the other two plans. Divides the body into inferior and superior.
Longitudinal Parallel to the long axis of the body part.
Anatomical Position The subject is standing upright with face front; arms at the sides with palms forward, and feet parallel.
Anabolism Metabolic building of simple compounds into more complex substances needed the body.
**Anatomy Study of body structure.
ATP Energy storing compound found in all cells.
Catabolism Metabolic breakdown of substances into simpler substances includes the digestion of food and the oxidation of nutrient molecules for energy.
Dissect To cut apart or separate tissues for study.
Feedback Return of info into a system, so that it can be used to regulate that system.

Organ Body part containing tow or more tissues functioning together for specific purposes.
Physiology Study of the function of living organisms.
System Group of organs functioning together for the same general purpose.
Tissue Group of similar cells that performs a specialized function.
*Logy Means to study.
Simple to Complex- We have levels of organization of the body 1. Chemical 2.Cell 3.Tissue 4.Organ 5.System 6.Orgization? dont know if u spelled this one right!
Smallest unit of living structure in the body is? Cell
A group of cells with similar structure is called? A tissue.
**Organ Arrangement of several tissues that accomplish specific function.
1. Organ that is hard and strong probably... Protects or supports.
2. Organ that is a flat sheet probably... Covers something.
3. Organ that contracts probably... Moves something.
