Sign & Symptoms of cholinergic crisis severe muscle weakness, sweating, increased salivation, bradycardia, and hypotension.
Health HX.-Initial presentation for a child w/gillain-Barre syndrome pain,especially in lower extremities, and preceding motor involvement.
intervention preventing further cns injury (slip and falls) ensure side rails of bed r elevated when caregiver isn't directly @ bedside, use appropriate safety restraints w/adaptive equip. & wheelchair don't leave child unattended in tub,avoid restraing use if @ all possible,close observation
Preventing infection before surgical repair of myelomeningocele keep sac from drying out,prevent trauma to sac.Position infant in prone position or supported on the side to avoid pressure on the sac. Keeep the lesion free of feces & urine to help avoid infection.
Preventing latex allergic reaction for myelomeningocele must be identified, wear medical alert bracelet, educate al who are in frequent contact with child.
Poper resonse to anxious parents on educating following a myelomeningocele repair. understand that it is a lifeline change, which is in constant need of teaching to the parents.
Cerebral palsy hospitalized for a test & stable.Proper response to parents who are exhausted & stress Feel free to go home & rest your child is in good hands
Intervention promoting skin integrity. Monitor condition of entire skin surface @ least daily.Avoid excessive friction or harsh cleaning products that may increase risk of breakdown, keep skin free from stool & urine 2 decrease pressure 2 susceptible areas,Monitor condition affected by braces
