CIS-platinum extremely toxic to kidneys; monitor BUN/creatinine; monitor for decreased Mg
Cytoxan hemorrhagic cystitis - monitor I & O, urine for blood, urine spec grav; SIADH - monitor for decreased UOP, increased spec grav, decreased Na+
Daunomycin cardiomyopathy - monitor HR and rhythm; red or orange colored urine
Hydroxyurea myelosuppression - neutropenic and thrombocytopenic precautions
Ifosfamide hemorrhagic cystitis; liver toxic - monitor for bleeding, jaundice, anorexia
L'Asparaginase coagulopathy - may need FFP; anaphylaxis - VS q 15 min; hyperglycemia
Methotrexate renal failure - NaHCO3 added to IV fluid, monitor I & O, BUN/creatinine, allopurinol as ordered
Vincristine constipation; neurotoxic - observe for jaw pain, foot drop, paralytic ileus, seizures; SIADH
VP-16 hypotension - VS q 15 min
rescue drug for methotrexate? leukovorin
rescue drug for Ifosfamide? Mesna - given with Ifosfamide and 4 - 20 hours after to help protect bladder
rescue drug for Cytoxan? Mesna
NaHCO3 put in IV fluid to make urine more alkaline and prevent crystal formation and renal failure
Allopurinol prevents uric acid formation
