MOA of Emergency Contraceptives May delay ovulation if it has not yet occurred till sperm no longer viable, prevent sperm from moving by thickening cervical mucous or alter uterine lining to make uninhabitable
Ky State Laws for Emergency Contraceptive To buy in store w/out prescription must be at least 16yo, 15 & younger need prescription
Why use Emergency Contraceptive person did not take pill correctly, had unprotected sex, was on antibiotics or meds to counteract OC
S/E of Emergency Contraceptive Extreme N/V, eat saltines or something to prevent throwing meds up & settle stomach
Plan B available in stores, convenient, expensive, high dose of usual meds
Alternative see doc for generic prescription - more pills, or talk to doc about how many of ones own pills to take
