Suburban Sprawl | Spread of suburbs away from the core city |

Examples of push factors | Escape poverty, mistreatment, or conflict; shortage of food |
Example of pull factors | Good jobs |
Example of migration by choice | Irish people fleeing a shortage of food and jews escaping persecution |
Example of involuntary migration | The slave trade |
Challenges of urbanization | Cannot provide housing, jobs, schools, hospitals, and other services; the spread of slums |
Problems with suburban sprawl | Can increase pollution and energy use |
