is the exact place on Earth where a geographic feature, such as a city, is found. Absolute Location
describes a place in comparison to other places around it. Relative Location

also known as a mapmaker; reduces some types of distortion by using different types of map projections. Cartographer
is a weather satellite, flies in sync with the Earth's rotation. GOES
helps you see the types of land-forms and bodies of water found in a specific area. Physical Map
show features on earth's surface that humans created. Political Map
emphasize specific kinds of information, such as climate or population density. Thematic Map
a map of natural and man-made features on the earth. Topographic Map
is the imaginary line that is dividing the Earth east and west. Prime Meridian
is the imaginary line that divides the north and south halves of the Earth. Equator
the name given to the super continent. Pangaea
is the part of the Earth where plants and animals live. Biosphere
is the center of the Earth and is made up of iron and nickel. Core
is made up of water elements on the Earth. Hydrosphere
contains most of Earth's mass and consists of several layers, layer surrounding the core, holds the most mass of the Earth. Mantle
location in the Earth where an earthquake begins. Focus
a special device that can detect earthquakes and measures their waves. Seismograph
