How do you perform the streak test? | You can observe a streak by rubbing a mineral against a piece of unglazed tile called a streak plate. |
Which mineral luster would “seem” to be the smoothest? | Glassy, and waxy. |
Which mineral has a density of less than 4.0 and a hardness of less than 3? | Sulfur mineral |
What’s the difference between cleavage and fracture regarding minerals? | The difference is a mineral that splits easily is a Cleavage. A Fracture is when the mineral breaks apart in an irregular way. |
How are they similar? cleavage and fracture | They both are something that happens when a mineral breaks. |
Some minerals have special properties. List a few special properties. | Fluorescence, Uraninite, Calcite. |
