valley low land between hills or mountains
volcano opening in the earth's crust from which lava or ash escape
plain large area of flat land
plateau large area of flatland that is higher than the land around it
lake a large area of water that is surrounded by land
bay an area of water that is mostly surrounded by land
ocean a major body of water that covers large parts of the earth
waterfall a place where water flows over a cliff
river a thin waterway that allows water to flow into a lake or ocean
pond a very small body of water that is surrounded by land
strait a channel of water that connects two large areas of water
wetland an area of wet, soggy land with many pools of water
