elestacaty | allows the muscle to return to it's original shape after it has contracted or stretched |
cardiac muscle | forms the wall of the heart and conditions to circulate blood |
visceral | smooth muscle is found in the internal organs of the body suck as those digestive |
involuntary | meaning they function without conscious thought or control |
skeletal muscle | is attached to bones and caused body movement |
tendons | strong tough connective tissue cords |
fascios | a tough sheet like membranes that covers the tissue |
origin | when the muscle attached to the bones |
insertion | the end that moves when the muscle contracts |
adduction | moving a body part towards the midline |
abduction | moving a body part away from the midline |
flexion | decreasing the angle between two bones or bending part |
extention | increasing the angle two bones or streangthening body part |
rotation | turning a body part around it's own axis |
circumduction | moving in a circle at a joint or moving one end of the body |
muscle tone | and is sometimes described as a state of redness to act |
contrature | a severe tighesning of a flexor muscle resulting in bending of a joint |
