Anterior Fontanel is what shape? Diamond
When does the Anterior Fontanel close? 12-18 months old
What shape is the posterior Fontanel? Triangular
When does the posterior fontanel close? 2-3 months old
Head control of a baby is achieved at what age? 3 months
Is the dance or step reflex normal in a newborn? Yes it is.
What is the rooting Reflex? turns head to side when cheek is touched.
When does the rooting reflex disappear? around 4 months
Babinski Reflex is what? When toes hyperextend when sole is stroked from heel upward across foot.
When does the Babinski reflex disappear? Around 1 year old
Palmar grasp is what? Grasping objects when palm is touched
How long does the Palmar grasp last for? up 4 months
Plantar grasp is what? when toes curl downward when sole of foot is touched
How long does the Plantar grasp last for? up to 8 months
What is the moro (aka startle reflex)? when legs flex, arms and hands extend when startled
How long does the moro reflex last for? Up to 6months
