Midwest Flat, gently rolling land with very few trees, called the Central Plains.

West In this region you can find; mountains, deserts, forests, volcanoes, rain forests, and tundras.
West The Pacific Coast is very rainy and foggy, the Great Basin is very hot, and Alaska is cold with long winters.
West Idaho is well known for its potatoes. Idaho potatoes are sold in almost every supermarket in the United States.
West Yellowstone National Park was established as the world’s first National Park in 1872.
West The most famous dogsled race takes place in Alaska.
Southeast There are many swamps in this region.
Southeast It is usually warm and sunny.
Southeast The Gulf Coast has many oil rigs which help to produce most of our country’s energy.
Southeast Walt Disney World
Southeast Blues, Bluegrass, Jazz and Country music all began here.
Northeast Home to the second largest waterfall in the world, Niagara Falls.
Northeast Has massive snow storms known as Northeasters.
Northeast Cranberries are grown in sandy marshes here.
Northeast Tourists can visit Washington D.C., the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the White House.
Northeast Basketball and volleyball, two of our most popular sports, were created here.
